Trent "TheKaing" Blake Awarded the Flying Cross LTCOL Blake, Flying Cross. Subsequent to the efforts of LTGEN Hall and COL Lassahn of 3 May 2008, on the 4 May 2008 as part of the second day of OP GREEN FIELD from 0500 LTCOL Blake and CAPTAIN Brown began securing assets at the outskirts of Bagango. At 0645 the base was officially declared clear of enemy troops. From 0745, LTCOL Blake began providing air support in an A10, and managed to down 15 KA50 helicopters, 15 T72 tanks and small armored vehicles, and over 400 Enemy infantry troops. Despite his valiant efforts, Base Alpha was again overrun at 0755, and USEC forces stood down to regroup on the city. LTCOL Blake demonstrated extreme levels of skill, heroism, and dedication in the face of the enemy while involved in this operation, in that he piloted his A10 and took out a massive amount of enemy without a single airframe loss. LTCOL Blake is awarded the Flying Cross.

Trent "TheKaing" Blake Awarded the Meritous Unit Citation
USEC personnel deployed to OP GREEN FIELD have shown extraordinary effort, dedication, and skill, in the achievement of the mission to secure the city of Bagango in Sahrani Island. In particular, the fencing of the entire city behind perimeter fencing, and the placement of AI squads along this perimeter, has allowed the city to remain unattacked for a period of seven days. Well done all on this outstanding achievement. This unit citation is awarded to all members of UX501, and those who were attached to UX501, in support of OP GREEN FIELD. Members must have participated in a mission, and have logged in to receive their campaign ribbon, in order to qualify for this citation.
Trent "TheKaing" Blake Awarded the Distinguished Service Medal There is no disputing the fact that LTCOL Blake is an outstanding leader, officer, and soldier here at USEC. His efforts have ensured that UX501 is one of the finest units here at USEC consistently throughout his time both as a Platoon Commander, as the XO, and finally as the CO. He is a veteran of 76 combat missions both as a pilot and soldier, with tours of duty spanning across three Operations including Op Firefly, Op Sunbeam, and Op Orange Dawn. His skills as a Pilot earned him the Force Cross. LTCOL Blake is a true asset to USEC and his 12 month career so far brings together a model officer for anyone following in his footsteps.
